Giô Dîaz, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, grew up surrounded by fabric and thread because her grandmother worked as a seamstress since she was 13 years old. This became her career and life, even designing for beauty contestants. For Giô Dîaz, her grandmother became her main source of inspiration and the reason that lead her to learn and enter the world of fashion.
She worked as a National Makeup Artist in the house of Lancome Cosmetics, taking the opportunity to travel to New York to learn the new trends for the season with the director of color, make-up artist. and artist, Ross Burton, who has done work for Angelina Jolie, among other Hollywood stars.
Giô also worked as a makeup artist for Louis Vuitton's house, Cation, Bioderm, San Juan Fashion Week, magazines and models, such as Zoribel Fonalledas. With Clarins Cosmetics she had the opportunity to travel to Chicago, New York and Connecticut, to bring to Puerto Rico European trends with French color artist Eric Antoniotti.
Wanting to fulfill her dream of becoming a designer, she studied three years in the fashion house of Carlota Alfaro, and worked two years with the prestigious designer.
Giô Dîaz shows her essence as a designer in her creations with classic elegance that are true reflections of women and their beauty. Her designs and unique "Haute Couture" style are acclaimed in South Fashion Week, Ego Moda, "Pintadas por La Aguja", "Moder Muse Fashion Show", Revista Ego, "Life Fashion Show" and many others.
Giô's fashion reflects her passion for art and design.
